The scholarship will provide young professionals with a platform to work on child rights reform, policy implementation and engagement of state actors. Fellows have the opportunity to use data and research to strengthen child welfare initiatives and advance sustainable impact. The first two batches of scholarships launched in 2021 have made significant achievements in the lives of children in Delhi NCT in three focus areas namely education, health and nutrition and justice.

According to sources, the Early Warning System is an important project of the Child Rights Fellowship. which plays a key role in reducing the dropout rate and safeguarding the lives of students studying in Delhi Education Department schools. Under this project, more than 100,000 students have been helped to prevent frequent absenteeism and more than 2,000 students have been protected from problems like abuse, child marriage, mental health, life-threatening diseases and other such atrocities. The project is also the winner of the prestigious SKOCH Silver Award for 2022 in the category Development of Women and Children.
Atishi, MLA and former Education Adviser to Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, said that the Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) is doing an outstanding job for the interest of children and the welfare of around 5 million children in Delhi. It materially improved the lives of the children.
