Ashoka University and Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) have invited applications for the third batch of Child Rights Fellowships (CRF). Postgraduates with one year of work experience related to children’s rights or graduates with two years of experience are eligible for the child rights scholarship. Who are 30 years of age or younger on April 1, 2023.

Each fellow will receive a monthly allowance of Rs 60,000. and Rs 5,000 separately for travel expenses. Within the third cohort, 10 young professionals will receive a platform to work on children’s rights and development reforms.

What benefits will accrue?

The scholarship will provide young professionals with a platform to work on child rights reform, policy implementation and engagement of state actors. Fellows have the opportunity to use data and research to strengthen child welfare initiatives and advance sustainable impact. The first two batches of scholarships launched in 2021 have made significant achievements in the lives of children in Delhi NCT in three focus areas namely education, health and nutrition and justice.

According to sources, the Early Warning System is an important project of the Child Rights Fellowship. which plays a key role in reducing the dropout rate and safeguarding the lives of students studying in Delhi Education Department schools. Under this project, more than 100,000 students have been helped to prevent frequent absenteeism and more than 2,000 students have been protected from problems like abuse, child marriage, mental health, life-threatening diseases and other such atrocities. The project is also the winner of the prestigious SKOCH Silver Award for 2022 in the category Development of Women and Children.
