Gurugram club friends, bouncers attacked me, says Haryana Forest Department official
Police said a forest department employee has alleged that he and his friends were thrashed by bouncers at a club in a mall on MG Road here.
MG Road police outpost in-charge Balram said that a complaint has been registered regarding the matter and the file has been sent to Sector 29 police station SHO.
In his complaint, Dev Kumar, a range officer from Nuh district, said that he and his friends had gone to a club in the mall on Monday night, coming out in the early hours of Tuesday.
Kumar said one of his friends had forgotten his mobile phone inside the club. Kumar and the rest of his party waited outside while his friend went back to pick up the phone.
Kumar alleged that they were talking amongst themselves when five bouncers standing outside the other club attacked him. Kumar told that when his friend came back with the phone and tried to intervene, he was also beaten up.
Kumar said the attack was finally stopped after the bouncers and the other club’s manager intervened.
Kumar then dialed 112 and an emergency rescue vehicle reached the spot and took the injured to the civil hospital from where all the five were discharged after first aid. Kumar then made a written complaint to the MG Road police post.
“I filed a complaint but the police did not register an FIR. When I contacted MG Road police outpost in-charge sub-inspector Balram and inquired about the action, he said the file has been sent to the SHO,” Kumar said.
While SHO of Sector 29 police station Pawan Malik was not available for comment, Balram said investigation is underway and action will be taken as per law.
