India defeat England by 16 runs to sweep 3-0 for the first time in the third and final women’s ODI here on Saturday. Sent in to bat, India were all out for 169 but it proved to be enough in the end. Among the England bowlers, medium pacer Kate Cross returned with excellent figures of 4/26, while Freya Kemp and Sophie Ecclestone had two wickets each.

Chasing a small target, the top order of England’s batting was all out for 153 runs in 43.3 overs. Charlie Dean top-scored with 47, while captain Amy Jones contributed 28.

For India, retired Goswami took two wickets while Renuka Singh and Rajeshwari Gaikwad took four and two wickets respectively.
