Jaishankar expresses concern about safety, welfare of Indian community in UK during meeting with British counterpartSEXI News

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also met Estonia’s Foreign Minister Urmas Rensalu, Brazil’s Foreign Minister Carlos Franca and South African Health Minister Joe Fahla, among many other leaders.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar shared his concerns about the safety and welfare of the Indian community in the UK with his British counterpart James Cleverley and welcomed his assurances on this. In his meeting with Bolivian Foreign Minister Rogelio Maita, Jaishankar said they “talked about expanding our development partnership and our economic engagement. Exchanged views on global development.” After his meeting with, Jaishankar said he “appreciated our ongoing cooperation in the UN Security Council. Discussed our Nordic partnership, Afghanistan, Ukraine and climate action.

He also met Estonia’s Foreign Minister Urmas Rensalu and “discussed on deepening bilateral cooperation after the opening of our embassy. Also exchanged views on developments related to Ukraine.” Jaishankar hosted the 10th India-Brazil-South Africa (IBSA) Trilateral Ministerial Commission meeting and reviewed the IBSA process and recognized its activities. He appreciated the promotion of South-South cooperation, including on global and multilateral issues. Reiterates commitment to reform multilateralism.

The meeting was attended by Brazilian Foreign Minister Carlos Franca and South African Health Minister Joe Fahla.
