Man discovers fiancé was married after paying AED350,000 for marriage

A man in the United Arab Emirates found that his fiancee, for whom he had paid AED350,000 wedding preparation, was already married another man.
The Al Ain Court of First Instance ordered the Arab woman to return the money after she was found guilty of lying and taking money illegally, Khaleej Times informed of.
When the man found out, he broke along with his fiancé, and he is ordered to return the cash as it will no longer serve the intended purpose.
Official court documents indicate that the man not only requested his money back in his lawsuit, but a further AED20,000 for the damages caused to him.
The two met on social media, where the man asked her to marry him after talking online for a year. He accepted the offer and requested some money for the engagement party. As a result, he transferred AED350,000 to his bank account.
When the woman kept postponing the date of the incident, she started getting suspicious.
In the end, he decided to investigate her after which he came to know that the woman was married and had lied about being unmarried.
According to him, when he asked for money from him, he refused, after which he took the matter to the court.
The woman was called to court where she denied the claims, saying the money was in fact a gift. However, the man brought three witnesses who testified that the cash was for wedding preparations.
The woman was married to another man a year and a half ago. The court found him guilty and ordered to return the money. He was also ordered to pay AED6,000 in damages.
