Mumbai: Mumbai Police has registered a crime against unidentified persons after a man in suburban Santa Cruz received a video call threatening to explode the country, an official said on Friday.
He said Rafat Hussain (55) received a video call on Tuesday allegedly from unidentified people who claimed that they would detonate bombs in the country.

Hussain then approached the Santacruz police station and informed the authorities about the threat call and lodged a complaint. An FIR has been registered against unidentified persons under sections 505 (statement to public mischief) and 506 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the official said.
Police are verifying the mobile number from which the person had received the threat call, he said, adding that the matter was being probed.
